Debjit Mandal - Photographer

I'm Debjit - a frontend developer based in downtown Vancouver. I picked up a camera about three years ago with absolutely no agenda beyond curiosity. That quickly turned into a problem.

Gear kept being added to the collection, a proper home studio got built, and at some point photography stopped being a hobby and became the thing I think about most. When I'm not writing code, I'm shooting, editing, or planning the next concept.

04 - Collaborations

Creative
Ideas

Every concept on this board is an open TFP invitation. Pitch yourself and let's make it happen.

Smoke & RGB

Studio · Atmospheric · Dramatic

Studio shoot with a smoke machine and RGB lighting. Deep saturated colors cutting through dense fog - bold blues, vivid magentas, intense greens. The smoke becomes part of the composition, not just atmosphere. Dramatic, otherworldly, and completely controlled.

Neon Cyberpunk

Futuristic · Neon · Studio

Futuristic fashion meets studio lighting. Using neon gels, harsh rim lights, and moody backdrops to build the cyberpunk aesthetic entirely in-studio - no city backdrop needed. Deep purples, electric blues, and harsh magenta highlights. All control, zero compromise.

Film Noir Revival

Monochrome · Dramatic · Vintage

High-contrast black and white studio portraits channeling 1940s Hollywood glamour. Dramatic shadows, venetian blind light patterns, and vintage-inspired wardrobing.

Celestial Dreams

Cosmic · Dreamy · Editorial

Galaxy and cosmos-inspired editorial with flowing fabrics, glitter, and creative lighting to evoke a sense of floating through space. Studio shoot with heavy post-processing.

Vintage Glam

Retro · Warm · Glamorous

A love letter to mid-century glamour photography. Carefully styled hair, deep jewel-tone wardrobe, and warm golden light that feels like a lost polaroid from 1962.

Geometric Minimalism

Minimal · Structured · Bold

Clean studio portraits using bold geometric shapes, stark negative space, and a controlled two-tone palette. The subject becomes part of the composition, not just the subject of it.
